Yolanda L. Prehn-Mueller

Yolanda L. Prehn-Mueller, 72, of Port Charlotte passed away July 28, 2011. She was the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Lorton) Dugger, born August 27, 1938 in White Hall, IL. She came to Port Charlotte in 1987 from Bethalto, IL. Yolanda was a member of Edgewater United Methodist Church where she served with the United Methodist Women and as church musician. Her heart was in ministering to young people and she was involved with the Emmaus Ministry, teaching Sunday school, and Rainbow Girls. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star; and was also involved with STAIR Tutoring. Yolanda will be greatly missed by her husband of 7 years, John Mueller; daughter, Laurel (Yvonne Bras) Prehn of Port Charlotte; son, Ted (Julie) Prehn of Bethalto, IL; step-daughters, Bridgett McVicker, Robin Ashley, and Penney Mueller; sister, Yvonne Etheredge of Port Charlotte; and grandsons, Andrew Prehn and Jonathan Prehn, both of Alton, IL. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 49 years, Les Prehn. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Edgewater Methodist Church with the service in celebration of Yolanda's life beginning at 4:00 pm.
