William T. Eggerman, Sr.

William T. Eggerman, Sr., 94 of Port Charlotte passed away January 17, 2007. He was born January 16, 1913 in Pueblo, CO to William C and Mary (Newberry) Eggerman. William was at a CC Camp building trails and structures in the Grand Canyon and as a 2.5' rolling mill operator for Colorado Fuel and Iron Steel Mill for 40 years. He lived in Colorado for 90 years before moving to southwest Florida. William loved music and enjoyed playing bingo, cards and checkers. He enjoyed square dancing, camping and fishing with his wife, son and grandchildren. William will be greatly missed by his son, William G. (Karen) Eggerman of Punta Gorda; grandchildren, Kimberly (Mark) Zeilmann of Rensselear, IN, Kevin Eggerman of Cincinnati, OH and Kristen (Kyle) Benkendorfer of Chapel Hill, NC; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Austin and Alex Zeilmann, Anastasia Eggerman, Kees, William and James Benkendorfer. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Gail Hayes Eggerman in October of 1995. A memorial service will be held in Colorado at a later date.
