William E. Norman, 66, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on July 14, 2020. He was born on January 26, 1954, to Charles and Morley Norman in Springfield, OH. William moved to Punta Gorda in 2010 from Valley Grove, West Virginia after retiring from West Pointe Products. He previously worked as a welder for the Consolidated Coal Company.
William was a sports enthusiast at heart, especially for Ohio State. He was a car aficionado who loved NASCAR, drag racing, and most anything with horsepower. Most importantly, William loved spending time with his entire family.
William will be deeply missed by his daughter Heather (Dan) Pabon; granddaughter Brooke; brothers Chuck Jr., Chris, and Mark (Sue) Norman; sisters Vicki (Terry Sr.) McCrobie, Susan (Rob) Winslow, and Tracy (Robert) Scott; 7 nephews and 2 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of William’s Life will be announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St. Jude Hospital in Bill Norman’s memory, www.fundraising.st.jude.org.
