Warren Glavin, Jr.

Warren F. "Whitey" Glavin, Jr., 76, of Punta Gorda passed away July 28, 2008. He was the son of Warren F. Glavin, Sr. and Helga (Grant) Glavin, born February 14, 1932 in Chicago, IL. Whitey served in Europe with the NSA as a member of the Army during the Korean War. He was in marketing and sales before retiring, and came to Punta Gorda from Turks and Caicos Islands in 1999. He enjoyed poetry, sailing and gardening. Whitey will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Janet; daughters, Cindy (Alex) Oliveri and Beth (David) Kapov, both of Chicago, and Kathleen York of Hollywood, CA; son, Kevin (Becky) York of Chicago; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
