Warren D. Benson

Warren D. Benson, 81, of Punta Gorda, passed peacefully on July 1, 2017 at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte. Born July 3, 1935 in Oak Park, Illinois, he married Patricia on July 7, 1956 and moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois where they raised their family. He enjoyed his retirement moving to Punta Gorda in 1996. He is survived by his children, Beth (Jack) Sebesta, Bob (Suzanne), Erick, and Kurt (Judy) and six grandchildren, Kate, Sara, Alex, Amber, Michael and Gabby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat, parents Herb and Florence Benson, and brother, Herbert C. Benson. A celebration of life will be held in Illinois at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Port Charlotte, Florida.
