Vincent Marinera, Sr.

Vincent Marinera, Sr., 91, of Port Charlotte passed away August 4, 2011. He was the son of Mark A and Esther (Kanervo) Marinera, born November 28, 1919 in Detroit, MI. Vincent was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a machinist for Turbodyne in Wellsville, NY for many years before retiring in 1982. He came to Port Charlotte in 2008 from Cape Cod, MA. Vincent will be greatly missed by his wife of 66 years, Mary; son, Vincent A. (Michele) Marinera, Jr.; 3 nieces and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Catherine Krichbaum; and one niece. Services in celebration of Vincent's life will be held at a later date at Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to SPCA of Allegany County, route 19, Wellsville, NY 14895 or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
