V. Jeannie Risi

V. Jeannie Risi, 69, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on October 14, 2020. She was born on June 1, 1951, to Robert and Verna Wasylik in Chicago, IL. Jeannie moved to Punta Gorda from Broward County in 2013 following her retirement as a Staffing Coordinator for 35 years with Aventura Hospital.

Jeannie loved to travel, especially on family vacations to the lake house, her happy place.  She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family and friends.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be remembered for all of the good times and for having an immense heart.

Jeannie will be deeply missed by her best friend and husband of 39 years Nicholas Risi; son Nicholas (Aleya) Risi Jr.; grandson Nicholas James Risi; and sister Patricia Draper. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bobby and Guy Wasylik.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Johnson Taylor Funeral Chapel, with a service to follow at 12:30 pm. A committal ceremony at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens will immediately follow the service.
