Uunko Lindemulder

Uunko Lindemulder, 69, of Punta Gorda passed away April 21, 2006. He was born May 22, 1936 in the Netherlands to Nieklaas and Elizabeth (Veenstra) Lindemulder. Uunko served in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. He was a retired telecommunications manager from Nortel Networks and moved from Raleigh, NC in 1996. He was a member of Deep Creek Elks and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. One of Uunko’s proudest achievements was becoming a US Citizen on October 4, 1991. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 30 years, Helen; children Joyce Goebel, Nicholas Lindemulder, Elizabeth Lindemulder, Susan Cannon, Chester Smith, Stephen Smith, Michael Smith, Dorothy Burton, Margaret Huffman, Gabie Smith; brother Onno Lindemulder; sisters Kunnie Nijenhuis, Els Luikens and An Lindemulder; twenty-five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 7:00 - 9:00 pm, Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. A mass in celebration of Uunko’s life will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Patrick Dubois officiating.
