Travella W Sheets

Travella W. Sheets, 76, of Pointe Aux Pins, MI passed away April 11, 2008 in Port Charlotte, FL. She was the daughter of Eldridge and Katheryn (Goodall) Welch, born June 17, 1931 in Belle Vernon, PA. Travella was a grade school teacher for over 35 years in the Columbus (OH) School District. She led a very active life serving as Docent for 17 years with the Columbus Zoo, earning her private pilot's license, and traveling the US in a motorhome. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, NEA, Ohio State Retired Teachers' Assn., and the ZTA Sorority. Travella will be greatly missed by her husband and best friend, Carl "Dick" Sheets; sons, Allan (Kathy) Roosz of Cleveland, OH, and Steve (Joyce) Roosz of West Lafayette, IN; brother, Frank Welch of Haines City, FL; sister, Mary Dee (James) Summers of Haines City, FL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Services will be held at a later date. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 992 Tamiami Trail, Unit C2, Port Charlotte, FL 33953.
