Tina Julia Cernero, 90, of Port Charlotte passed away on July 12, 2011 and lived at Royal Palm Retirement Center. She was the daughter of Thomas and Theresa, born on April 8, 1921 in Newark, NJ. Tina worked at a sewing factory at a young age and on February 8, 1942, she married Joseph Salvatore Cernero. After her 4th child was born, she worked at the cafeteria at Belleville High School, Belleville, NJ. She was a member of Belleville Assembly of God, Wharton Assembly of God, both in NJ and Abundant Life Assembly of God and Real Life Church, Punta Gorda. Tina will be remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Tina will be greatly missed by her children; Joseph Thomas (Beth) Cernero of Sherman, TX; Renee Joyce (George) Debrowski of Punta Gorda; John Angelo (Patti) Cernero of Dallas, TX and Tina Cernero of Brooklyn, NY; grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron, Casey, Angela and Adam; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Blume, Josie, Sophie, Allie Jane, Charles, Nathaniel, Dylan and Libby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Salvatore and twin grandchildren, Felicia Faith and Julia Arlotta. A visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with a celebration of Tina's life to follow at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in New Jersey. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
