Theodore Laurence Reynolds

Theodore Laurence “Larry” Reynolds, 81, of Port Charlotte died peacefully at his home with his family on March 7, 2007. He was born in New York City on July 20, 1925, the son of Theodore & Katie Reynolds. Larry was a former resident of Schenectady, NY for many years and became a full-time resident of Port Charlotte in 1995. He was a graduate of Siena College in Loudonville, NY, and was the broker-owner of Reynolds Chambers Realty in Schenectady. He served his country in WWII training as a naval pilot at Pensacola and other Naval bases. He was a member of the Mohawk Club in Schenectady, and the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club. Larry was a charter and lifetime member of the International Antique & Classic Boat Society, serving as the first president of the Adirondack Chapter of the Society. He was a past Rotarian, and past officer in the Schenectady Jaycees. He loved boating, golf, music, and travel including a trip to Australia and Ne Zealand where he bungee jumped near Queenstown. Larry will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 59 years, Helen; sons, Laurence (Judy) of Lake George, NY, David (Cheryl) of Matthews, NC, and William (Heather) of Colonie, NY; six grandchildren, Heather (Paul) Brown, Oliver, Mona, Jason (Kim), Neil and Claire; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kira Brown; brothers, Peter (Barbara) of Port Charlotte and Middlegrove, NY, and Jeffrey of Ijanesville, MD; sisters-in-law, Jean (Steve) Lucas, Millie Barnum, Gertrude (Henry) Carroll, Rose Marie Mc Nally, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering will be held 11:00 - 11:30 am Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with the service in celebration of Larry’s life beginning at 11:30.
