Terri Kirtley

Terri Lynn (Sinks) Kirtley, 61, passed away after a short illness January 25th, 2025 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, Terri was preceded in death by her father, Gene Sinks, mother, Geneva Sinks, brother Gregory Sinks, and her daughter, Tabitha Garneau. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Eric Kirtley of Punta Gorda, her children, her pride & joy, daughters Jennifer Sinks (Shawn) of Edmond, OK, Jackie Wood (Gerald) of Edmond, OK, Savannah Benz (Warren) of Greenacres, WA, and son Shaun Kirtley (Ashley) of Rhome, TX, along with her 11 adored grandchildren, Parker, Bayless, Jaslene, Lydia, Giovanni, Izzabella, Junior, Victoria, Layla, Keira, and Ellaina. Terri is also survived by her sister Donna Cason and brother Michael Sinks of Sherman, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews, in laws, and friends.

Terri was born January 16th, 1964 in Denver, CO. After graduating from Westminster High School in 1984, she channeled her desire to help others into a career in the medical field, working in dialysis until she retired in 2020 as a Biomedical Director at New Direction Acute Dialysis in Oklahoma City.

She met the love of her life, Eric, in Denver in 1993. They moved to Edmond, OK 1994 and together raised their five children. They married August 9th 1996 on a family vacation in Colonial Williamsburg with their children. After retirement, Terri & Eric built their dream home in Punta Gorda, FL.

Terri had boundless love for her children and grandchildren. She lived for opportunities to spend time with them, especially having the grandchildren visit Florida on summer break. Weekend video calls with them made the long distances bearable. Her lifelong dedication to family and friends never wavered, and testified to her steadfast support and care for others. She was a fierce animal lover, and had many beloved fur babies throughout her life. Terri had an almost unhealthy relationship with her plants that including overwatering to overgrowth, covering the lanai that Eric built for her in abundant greenery.

Services will be held 11:30 am January 30th, 2025 at Life Celebration Center of Punta Gorda, with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to:
