Susan Mae Ross, 71, died January 2, 2021, in Punta Gorda, FL after a long illness. She was the loving spouse of Nadine Westgate Ross.
Born November 26, 1949, in Morgantown, WV, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Billy Jeffreys Ross. Susan graduated from Morgantown High School and attended the University of Wisconsin and West Virginia University, graduating in 1973. She was a long-time resident of Boston, MA, later living in Andover, ME, and Spruce Pine, NC in retirement.
Susan was a Congressional Aide and worked at Tufts Medical Center and was employed by the USPS as a letter carrier in Boston for 24 years until her retirement.
She was an avid outdoor enthusiast, loved animals, and collecting rocks.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother William R. Ross, Jr.She is survived by sister-in-law Shari Ross Wilson of Morgantown, brother Dixon J. (Margaret) Ross of Latham, NY, nephews William R. (Giselle) Ross and Thomas D. (Heather) Ross and cousins Sue Heinzelman and Emery (Nancy) Jeffreys, also her stepchildren Jennifer (Tim) Collins of Camden, NY and Bryan (Robbie) Reynolds of Rochester, MA and grandchildren Samantha, Amanda, Bryan, Madison, and Caycee, and dear friends Melanie and Lisa Pepper.
