Susan Lewis

Susan Kay Lewis, 80, passed away in her Punta Gorda, Florida home February 15, 2017. Born in Goshen, Indiana April 17, 1936, she married Robert Earl Lewis M.D. October 22, 1955. Longtime residents of Indianapolis and Zionsville, Indiana, they retired to Florida in 2000. Susan was a retired surgical technical nurse, member of the Sonshine Baptist Church, an accomplished artist, enjoyed bridge "Silver Life Master", traveling, animals, crosswords, reading, and singing. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Earl; Children: Julie Garrison, Mark (Rebekah), Sara Harvey (Brent), Max (Kim); grandchildren, Frank, Whittley, Molly, Suzanne, Benjamin, Adam, Jacob, Zachariah, Joseph, Ian, Cora, Finnegan; great grandchildren: Christopher, Caitlin, McKell, Rylee. Preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Julia (Bute) Laufraw and son-in-law, Gary Garrison . The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., February 22, 2017 with services following at 3 p.m. at Sonshine Baptist Church, Port Charlotte.
