Susan Diane Hare

Susan D. Hare, 64, of Punta Gorda passed away Friday, May 18, 2012. She was the daughter of Warren and Dorothy (Hobbins) Bassett, born June 23, 1947 in Plymouth, MI. Susan earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Education, and was a teacher and school administrator in the Birmingham, MI school system for 24 years. After her retirement, she moved to Punta Gorda. She enjoyed cooking and providing meals for her family and friends; she was an avid reader, enjoyed cruising and fishing off a dock. Susan will be greatly missed by her husband of 15 years, Bill; step-daughter Colette (Jay) Park; sisters, Marilyn Gyetvay, and Michelle (Chuck) Davis; sister-in-law, Donna (Lester) Blagg; brother-in-law, Bob (Andrea) Hare; and step-grandchildren, Lucas, Ellie, and Evan The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 pm Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services, with services in celebration of Susan's life following at 3:00 pm.
