Stanley Albert Anderson

February 28, 1936 — July 10, 2011

Stanley A. Anderson, of Punta Gorda formerly of Islip and Sayville, NY passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011. He was born February 28, 1936 in Queens, NY to Melvin and Elizabeth (Chrzan) Anderson. Stan served in the US Navy on the USS Tirante as an electromechanic during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired teacher and was a member of the Elks, Platinum Point Yacht Club and Islip Fire Department. Stan will be greatly missed by his wife of 35 years, Arlene; daughter, Karen (Brian) Clark; grandchildren, Adam and Taylor Clark; brothers, Melvin (Carlotta) Anderson and Mark (Rebecca) Stefenilli; daughter in law, Eve Sable; friend/caregiver, Tyrone Brantley. He was preceded in death by his son, Trace Anderson. Gathering will be at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Stony Brook, New York please call 631-444-5326 for details. .
