Shelva J. Jones

Shelva Junetta Cochran Jones, 82, was born on Christmas Day 1936. She went to heaven just in time to celebrate with the Lord on Christmas Day 2018. Born to Bess Lough Cochran and Robert Cochran, Shelva grew up in Webster County, West Virginia, the second of seven children. Sister to Genelda Cochran Leiby, Lynn Cochran Williams (Carl), Hope Cochran Thomas, Bobbie Cochran (Sandra), Larry Cochran (Becky) and Max Cochran (Vivian). She graduated from Webster Spring High School and went on to graduate from Davis Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. A caring and compassionate nurse with a wicked sense of humor, she had known she wanted to be a nurse from an early age. But her true passion was her love of Jesus and his word. She had a deep thirst for knowledge of the bible and Gods will. Always ready to pray for others, she had a heart for people who were hurting. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ralph Bud Jones; one daughter, Lydia Betsy Jones Stutler (Kevin); two grandchildren Lindsey Stutler Domanico (Kevin) and Dillon Stutler (Julie); and one great-grandaughter, Penelope Domanico. As per her request, there will be no service. Her immediate family will be gathering in her honor.
