Seth N. Edman, Jr.

Seth Nicodemus “Nick” Edman, Jr, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in Punta Gorda, FL, he was born and raised in Hibbing, Minnesota.   He served in the Air Force for 4 years.  He met the love of his life and married Helen Marie Sousley on June 11, 1954, they were married for 66 years. 

Nick loved life and his family and had a warm and happy smile for everyone he met.   He had a great laugh and sense of humor.   He loved to fish and hunt.  In his later years, he enjoyed walks and reading books and he always enjoyed any sweets that were available. 

Nick is leaving his wife Helen and two children, Allen Edman and Susan Cole (Robert), three grandchildren, Chris (Whitney), Jessica (Cody), and John, and 8 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother Russell Edman.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and Seth Edman, Sr.  and three brothers, Donald, Richard, and William. 

Nick retired from the US Postal Service where he proudly worked for the Inspection Service.  He also enjoyed building houses, helping his kids and grandkids with any projects and just genuinely enjoyed spending time with his family.  He was a blessing to all that knew him. 

Nick will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. 

A private family funeral will be held at Terrace Park Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO on April 2, 2021, at 10:30 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Alzheimer's Association.
