Salvatore J. Maiorana

Salvatore John "Sal" Maiorana, 79, of Punta Gorda died Sunday, October 5, 2008. He was the son of Joseph and Serafina (Famularo) Maiorana, born August 30, 1929 in Easton, PA. Sal graduated from Easton High School in 1947 and received his BS in Civil Engineering from Lafayette College in 1951. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. After his father's death in 1954, Sal took over the family business, Easton Roofing Co, Inc.; he retired in 1987 and came to Punta Gorda from Easton. Active in the communities where he lived, Sal was past president of the Easton Area Optimist Club, a member of Dallas Lafayette Lodge 396 F & AM in Easton, Church of the Good Shepard, American Legion Post 110 and the Burnt Store Country Club. Sal will be greatly missed by his wife of 52 years, Barbara J. (nee Boehmer); sons, Joseph Maiorana and Salvatore J. Maiorana, Jr. both of Punta Gorda and Jeffrey R. (Maria) Maiorana of Huntington Valley, PA; daughter, Laurie (Stephen) Page of Guilford, CT; grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Maiorana, Jr, Amanda K. Page, Kelsey M. Page, Jeremy A. Maiorana, Hayley E. Page, Stephen C. Page, Gina N. Maiorana, and Jon Tyler Maiorana; and sisters, Connie (Stephen) Franco of Toms River, NJ and Jane (Clyde) Norelli of Macungie, PA. A memorial service in celebration of Sal's life will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Church of the Good Shepard.
