Sally Z Hancock

Sally Z. Hancock, 66, of Punta Gorda left us to be with the Lord on November 10, 2018. She was the daughter of George and Joanne Zimmer, born March 12, 1952 in Cleveland, OH. Sally and her husband Rob Hancock moved to the area in 2005 from Odessa, FL. Prior to their move, Sally retired from Ashland Chemical Co. as an Inventory Control Coordinator. She was very involved with music within the ministry wherever she lived. Sally was an active member of the LaLeche League for numerous years as well as volunteering in the office at the Punta Gorda Fire Department for over a decade. She will be remembered by many for being genuinely sweet, incredibly kind and never having a bad thing to say about anyone. Sally will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 42 years, Rob; sons, Shawn (Kristin) Hancock; Seth Hancock (Nicki Westerlund) ; brother, Robin Zimmer; sister in law, Susan McNaught; and her grandchild Kennedy Hancock. A private service for family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Tidewell Hospice of Port Charlotte, FL and the American Cancer Society.
