Rosemary K Paradiso

Rosemary K. Paradiso, 87, of Port Charlotte passed away March 10, 2019. The daughter of Peter A. and Ruth McGovern, she was born May 24, 1931 in Gardner, ME. Rosemary came to this area 35 years ago from Swansea, MA and was part of the Women's Group at Lakes Edge Condo Assn. She was very active in her church, Community Life Center where she coordinated events, assisted with communion, the Inner Circle and Thursday Night Live; she was a board member, greeter, and folded the weekly bulletin. She also served at the Homeless Coalition. She loved to entertain and was well known for her Italian food and delicious pizelles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Rosemary will be greatly missed by her daughters, Rita Falaguerra and Barbara Pray, both of Riverside, RI, and Ruth Paradiso of Warren, RI (and Port Charlotte); sister, Elizabeth Boisclair of Pawtucket, RI; grandchildren, Robert Falaguerra, Pam Riddle, Robert Pray, Russell Pray, Meghan and Cassandra Pereira, and Jarrod Pereira; great-grands, Jack, Connor, Nathan, Christian, Giana, and Benjamin; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 am at Community Life Center, with the service in celebration of Rosemary's life following at 11:00 am. She will be buried with her husband, Mario, in Sarasota National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the church. To express condolences to the family, please sign the online guest book.
