Rose Sharon "Sherry" Wallace, 72, of North Port, FL and Rector, AR passed away Monday, January 15, 2013. She was born on August 21, 1940 in Rector Arkansas. Sherry moved from Rector to Punta Gorda after retiring from Emerson Electric in Kennett, Mo in 1986 and began working in the hospitality industry at the Howard Johnson Inn overlooking Charlotte Harbor. She had no Hotel experience when taking this position, however her "gift of gab" was all she needed. Sherry continued work in the hospitality industry and was awarded The President's Award in 1998 from The HomeWood Suites hotel chain. She also worked part-time as a Lee County toll collector until retirement. Sherry will be remembered as a person who never met a stranger and a women who was so very proud of her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her children, Tonya (Dan) Justice of Cape Coral, Tim (Jackie) Moore of Pt. Charlotte, Nancy (Chris) Rovik of Canton MI, brothers Andy Moseley of Pt. Charlotte and Tony Moseley of Punta Gorda, 6 Grandchildren, and her "Grand Dog Abby". A memorial service to celebrate Sherry's life will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
