Roger W. Rosenwald

Roger W. Rosenwald, 76, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away April 13, 2016, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born September 3, 1939 in Milwaukee to Kenneth and Willora Rosenwald. Roger's formal education was interrupted by a four year service in the USAF, stationed in Korea. He later completed a Bachelor of Science degree from UCLA, in International Economics and Finance, and an MBA from NYU in Corporate Finance. Roger enjoyed an exciting career travelling and working for many international corporations such as Celanese Chemical, Merck, Philip Morris, and Bendix. His last assignment was with Anderson Clayton as VP of Finance in Mexico City. After moving to Punta Gorda in 1985 he built a successful tax, accounting, and estate and financial planning business before retiring in 1997. In retirement Roger devoted many hours helping neighbors with trips to the doctors or general maintenance. He was the go-to person in his neighborhood. Roger is survived and will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Carol Weller; children, Heather Rosenwald, Gregory Rosenwald and Anson Rosenwald; grandchildren Matthew Rosenwald, Michael Rosenwald, Colin Gomez, Gavin Gomez, Greyson Rosenwald, Samuel McFadzen and Chloe McFadzen. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Friday, April 22, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, Punta Gorda, Florida.
