Roberta L. Mann, 70, of Arcadia, FL passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born April 14, 1949 in Somerville, NJ to Robert and Helen Hey. Roberta relocated to Arcadia in 1986 establishing herself as a local business owner operating a local grocery store. She also opened a comic store downtown and worked for the County as a Deputy Clerk.
Roberta brought her bigger than life personality into the Desoto Little Theater, using her creativity for productions throughout the year. As a member of First Presbyterian Church of Arcadia, she enjoyed serving the local community while participating in the choir, handbells and as a Sunday school teacher. She was an avid lover of Disney World, random road trips through the country with her family, traveling abroad, music, animals and most of all her grandchildren. A baker extraordinaire, Roberta was known for her desserts and ability to create something special on a whim. She has touched many lives with her smile, unlimited kindness and most-likely a baked good.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 13 years, Douglas; daughters Amy Deming (Brett); Karla McManus (Lee); son Brent Borsmann (Kathy); sister Suzy Hey; 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
