Robert R. Raef

Robert "Bob" Raef, 79, of Punta Gorda, formerly of Lexington, KY passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012. He was born March 1, 1933 in Lebanon, MO to Richard and Clara (Hewitt) Raef. Robert was the former owner of Welding Products, Inc., Lexington, KY and Western Auto and Raefs Home Center, Nicholasville, KY. He was a member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church in Lexington, KY and attended First United Methodist Church in Punta Gorda. Robert was a member of the Punta Gorda Elks and enjoyed going boating and camping. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Carol Wolter; daughter, Diane (Carey) Hunt of Versailles, KY; daughter-in-law, Jeanette C. Raef of Lexington, KY; sister, Dorothy Sandness of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, Gregory, Houston, Allison and Kim and four great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his son, Douglas and sister, Mary E. Raef. Every one will meet at the front gate of The Lexington Cemetery for a graveside service to be held at 10:30am, Saturday, May 26, 2012.
