Robert P. Leroux

Robert P. Leroux, 86, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of New York passed away February 13, 2017. He was the only child of Raymond and Paulette Leroux, born November 1, 1930 in France. Robert was an interpreter for the US Army in Germany during the Korean Conflict. Robert was a Police Sergeant in the NYPD, completing 27 years in the department before retiring in 1981. He then worked in private security and as Fire Safety Director in Manhattan. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #66 in Port Charlotte and Superior Officers and #10-13 in New York. Robert loved to travel through Europe and see the United States by motor home with his wife. He enjoyed going fishing. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife of 33 years, Susan; children, Jeffrey (Nancy), Laura, Andrew (Lillian) and Annette; grandchildren, Shelby, Ashlyn, Joseph, Justin, Jason and Jourdan.
