Robert "Bob" M. Davis, 78, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away March 26, 2016. He was the son of Morris and Mildred Davis, born June 12, 1937 in LaBelle, FL. He was an accomplished athlete and loved to attend his son's baseball games. Robert was a tank Commander in the US Army. After leaving active service, Robert continued his service to our country and was the Civil Service Logistics Manager for the F-15 Project. He retired in 1992. He moved to Punta Gorda in 2012 from Warner Robins, Ga. Robert was a member of the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge #2606. He was an avid fan of the Bulldogs and of course, the Braves. Robert liked being outdoors and enjoyed pheasant hunting with his son and great friends. He loved Corvettes and life itself. Robert never met a stranger and touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He always had a joke to share with them. Robert will be greatly missed by Vivian Davis; sons, Robert "Bobby" Morris Davis, Jr. and David Jeffrey "Jeff" Davis; brother, George "Bubba" Davis; sister, Barbara Jo Davis Sullivan; 1 grandchild and 2 great-grandchildren and the true love of his life and fianc, Julie Presseller. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 4pm, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Captains' Table at Fisherman's Village. Flower shirts and flip flops are the accepted attire.
