Robert E. Farquharson

Robert E. Farquharson, 70, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of East Peoria, IL passed away Feb. 1, 2018. He was born Sept. 3, 1947 in Argentina to Alwin and Elena Farquharson. Robert was a Sgt Asst. Crew Chief in the US Air Force for 4 yrs in Guam and the reserves for 2 yrs. He worked as a Marketing Specialist for Caterpillar Inc and traveled throughout Central and South American teaching marketing seminars. Robert was an avid airplane enthusiast and extremely knowledgeable on the different types of aircrafts. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife of 22 years, Julia; daughter, Jennifer (Floyd) Wombacher; son, Paul (Stefanie) Farquharson; sisters, Elena Figueroa, Christina Ansted; four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald and sister Roselyn. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 pm, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation. A service to celebrate Robert's life will be at 11am, Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
