C. Robert “Bob” Towse, 88, of Port Charlotte passed away August 30, 2007. He was born February 20, 1919 in Bayard, NE. Bob graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Colorado and served in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a Senior Engineer with Boeing Company and on the Apollo Saturn Space Project. Bob retired in 1971 and moved to Port Charlotte where he enjoyed boating and shrimping. He was registered with the S.E.C. as an Investment Advisor and worked as a Securities Broker. He also was an enrolled agent with the I.R.S. and founded Coast Financial Advisors, Inc.. He was a member of Port Charlotte Kiwanis Club of Port Charlotte and severed as treasurer for 4 years. Bob was a life member of D.A.V. Post 82, American Legion #110, Veterans of Foreign Wars #3690, Elks Lodge #2153 and 40 & 8 Voiture 1526. He will be greatly missed by his wife Margaret; children, Patricia Resch, Linda (Serge) Leiseca, Chuck Towse, Richard (Reyne) Merrell, Jan Delle, Cathy (Carl) Gerace and Marc Towse; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A celebration of Bob’s life will be at 10:00 am, Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
