Robert C. Conley

Robert C,. Conly, 77, of Port Charlotte passed away July 18, 2006. He was born December 28, 1928 in Dorchester, Mass to Walter and Anna Mae (Andrews) Conly. Robert served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He worked as a mechanical engineer in the energy field for over 24 years before retiring and moving to Pt. Charlotte from Cape Cod, Mass in 1999. Robert was a member of American Legion Post #113 Rotonda and an avid bowler at Treasure Lanes and bowled in many leagues. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; daughter Cheryl (Bob) Clark of Seminole, FL; son Bruce (Lisa) Conly of Avon, Mass and grandchildren Jacqui, Derek, Samantha and Jason. The family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:30 pm, Thursday, July 20 with the service following at 3:30 pm at the Port Charlotte Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Center. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery. Memorial donations maybe made to American Cancer 992 Tamiami Trail Unit C-2, Pt.
