Robert "Bob" Groton

Robert L. Groton, 75, of Punta Gorda passed away September 24, 2005. He was born February 12, 1930 in Framingham, Mass to Parker and Mildred (Neal) Groton. Robert served in the National Guard; he enjoyed camping spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Mary Rebecca; sons Scott (Colleen) Groton of Harbor Heights and Paul Groton of North Port; daughters Holly (Charles) Rogers of Guatemala, Carol (Earl) Knight, Gail (Kevin) Brozanski and Joan (Douglas) Timmons all of Arcadia, FL; brother Richard (Natalie) Groton; sister-in-laws Katherine Colbourne and Ina Hathorne; seventeen grand-children and five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service in celebration of Robert’s life will be at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, September 27 at Punta Gorda Chapel at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
