Robert enlisted in the United States Marines where he learned his trade that would find him employment with General Electric. During his 35 years with General Electric, Robert was instrumental in his design work where he earned a patent. Robert was a loving husband and father who took pride in providing for his family. He loved teaching his children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to be self-sufficient, survive in the woods by providing shelter, hunting and fishing for food and respecting the outdoors. He enjoyed socializing with the many friends he made throughout the years. Robert was forever a Vermonter who extended his back yard to Florida. Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses who provided special care during his courageous battle with lung cancer with a special thanks to Dr. Singh and his gunnery nurse Nancy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tidewell Hospice of Charlotte County, Florida. A service will be held at a later date in Vermont.
