Richard White

Richard “Dick” White, 97, of Port Charlotte passed away August 2, 2006. He was born August 22, 1909 in Boston, MA to Henry and Mary (Richard) White. Dick worked for Allegheny, and Microwave Assoc. before retiring as a machinist foreman with Polluck Co. He came to Port Charlotte 30 years ago from Westwood, MA. Dick was an avid gardener who enjoyed raising and breeding orchids. He owned his own citrus grove, and enjoyed beekeeping and ceramics. Dick will be greatly missed by his sisters, Frances Cronin of Port Richey, FL and Eleanor Higgins of Dover, NH; and several nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his wife Mary Parke White. No services are planned at this time. Memorial donations maybe made to the Salvation Army, 2120 Loveland Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33980.
