Richard James Wolfe

Richard J. Wolfe, 77, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at TideWell Hospice Englewood . He was the son of Walter and Jeanette Wolfe, born November 3, 1934 in Michigan City, IN. Richard served in the US Army and reserves. He graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 1953 and was a graduate of Wieden Barber School, Chicago, IL. Richard joined the Police force in 1965 and graduated from South Bend Police Academy. He was a member of F.O.P. Lodge 75, Michigan City, IN and Richard retired from the MCPD in 1981 and moved to Port Charlotte, FL. Richard will be greatly missed by his wife, Lois (Tolton) Wolfe; sister, Carol Anderson; brother, Walter (Ann) Wolfe; stepchildren, Dennis (Tina) and Rebecca Tolton; children Jeff, Tim, Jenny and Samantha; grandchildren including Sarah Davis and Steve Tolton; great-grandsons Aidan and Ryland Tolton and his cousins, Terry and Cathy Grievish. A memorial mass will be 11:00am on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice, Inc., 12034 N.
