Richard Barone, Jr

Richard Barone, Jr., 38, of Punta Gorda passed away June 19, 2006. He was born July 13, 1967 in Franklin Square, Long Island New York to Richard and Joyce (Nelson) Barone, Sr. Richard was the Nassan County Wrestling Champion in High School and served five years in the Army reserve. He worked as a Lee County Juvenile Correctional Officer. Richard will be missed by his father Richard and step-mother Kennetha; brother Thomas (Jennifer) Barone of Lake Grove, NY; sister Denise (Andrew) Kilanowski of Kutztown, PA; girlfriend Candice Jackson; nieces Kassandra Kilanowski and Rayna Barone; nephew Nick Kilanowski. He was preceded in death by his mother Joyce. The family will receive friends Friday, June 23 at 11:00 - 1:00 pm with a celebration of Richard’s life to follow at 1:00 pm at Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be after services at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
