Richard Bertram Gallagher, 67, of Punta Gorda passed away August 27, 2006. He was born May 7, 1939 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Joseph and Gertrude (Bertram) Gallagher. Richard served his country in the Marine Corp. He owned two service stations in Baltimore, MD before retiring. He came to Punta Gorda 12 years ago from Baltimore and was a member of the American Legion, Moose, Burnt Store Marina Golf Club, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Richard enjoyed playing golf, boating, and going on pleasure cruises. Richard will be greatly missed by his companion of 36 years, John Yanovich; long-time friend, Lois Gulley of Baltimore, MD; brother, William (Rita) Gallagher of CA; 2 nieces, 2 nephews, 6 grand-nieces and 3 grand-nephews. The service in celebration of Richard’s life will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Following the service, there will be a gathering of friends at the Burnt Store Marina Golf Club at 2:30 pm.
