Regina Ragule Ozimek

Regina (Jean) Ragule, Ozimek, 85, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Albany NY passed away on July 21, 2011 at the Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center, from the on-set of Parkinson’s and a long illness. Born in Albany, NY, 1926, to John & Stella Ragule. Sister to her siblings Theodore (Ted) Ragule, Madeline (Madge) Koza, Edward (Clem) Ragule, Stella Ragule Liptak, Genevieve (Sister Mary) Ragule. Predeceased by her husband six weeks earlier Joseph Ozimek formerly of Albany, NY of 65 years. She was survived by her sons, Tom (Gloria) Ozimek of Port Charlotte, FL, Joseph (Pam) of Germantown, WI. Jean was a proud grandmother to Jennifer (Ryan) Bellaterra, Palmetto, FL, Jonathan, Milwaukee, WI & Eric (Tiffany) of North Port, FL. She known as “Nanny” to her three terrific great grandchildren, Devon, Dylan, and McKenzie. Jean was adopted by her little Yorkie, Jellybean who spent a lot of time with her in the nursing home. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am, Friday, July 29, 2011 at San Antonio Catholic Church. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made on Jean’s behalf to Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte FL 33952 and/or Guilderhaven Animal Shelter, c/o Sue Green, 6655, SR 158, Altamont, NY 12209 The Ozimek family would like to express their thanks and kindness to the entire staff of Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center as well as the support and caring provided by Tidewell Hospice staff and volunteers.
