Regina M. Codi

Regina "Gina" (Ledermann) Codi, 93, of Punta Gorda formerly of Fort Myers, FL passed away April 26, 2008. She was born November 3, 1914 in Bronx, New York. Regina graduated from James Monroe High School where she was an outstanding swimmer and track star. Gina enjoyed knitting and reading; golf became her true passion from the time she was about 40. She was a bookkeeper for Westchester Motor Lines of Gardner, MA and then for Goodyear in White Plains, NY and also in Fort Myers, FL. Gina was married to her high school sweetheart, Albert Codi for 73 years before he passed away in August 2007. Family was most important to her and Gina (Nana) will be greatly missed by her children, Albert Codi, Jr., of Port Charlotte; Marie Codi Skamarycz of Worcester, MA and Martha Codi Raak of Pittsburgh, PA; along with 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. A service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
