Raymond D. Baldacci

Raymond D. Baldacci, Sr., 85of Richmond, Deltaville Virginia, and Port Charlotte, FL passed away peacefully on June 22, 2016. Raymond was born on July 17, 1930 to Angelina and Amedeo Baldacci in Richmond Virginia. Raymond served in the United States Marine Corp as a Sergeant during the Korean War, and was also a Civil Air Patrol Pilot in the United States. When Raymond returned home from overseas he attended the University of Richmond where he received his Bachelors in Business. From there Raymond was employed in a Managerial Position with C&P telephone company (now Verizon). He enjoyed his retirement in Deltaville, VA, where he joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He also enjoyed his most recent residence in Port Charlotte, Florida, and spending time with friends and family there. Raymond was a member of Murdock Baptist Church in Port Charlotte Florida where he was engaged in various Bible Studies. He was also involved in Telephone Pioneers while in Virginia. Raymond loved being on the water. He was an avid jet-skier, boater, and fisherman. Raymond Baldacci will be remembered by his loving wife Virginia Brooks Baldacci; son, Don (Dana) Baldacci of Richmond, VA; daughter, Bonnie (Bill) Ellen of Susan, VA: brother, Jr. Baldacci; sister, Leona Jennings both of Richmond, VA. Raymond will also be remembered by his grand-children, Katie and Claire Baldacci of Richmond, VA and Billy and Ryan Ellen of Susan, VA. He is also remembered by many other family members and friends whom were blessed to know him. Memorial services will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, King William, VA or Murdock Baptist Church, Port Charlotte, FL. The family wishes to say a special thanks to the staff of Fawcett Memorial Hospital and Tidewell Hospice Care for all of their kindnesses shown
