Raymond Anthony Mackin

Raymond A. Mackin, 93, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly resident of Lorain, Ohio passed away at home May 1, 2006. He was born April 2, 1913 in Lorain, Ohio to John and Agnes (Bark) Mackin. Raymond served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. He worked as Seaman on Great Lakes and a heavy equipment operator. Raymond was a life long member of Ohio Operating Engineers, Slovak Club, and Port Charlotte Pinochle Club. He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Lorain, Ohio. Raymond will be greatly missed by his daughters Kathy Daignault, Janice (Freddie) Caldwell and Monica Mackin; brothers Carl Mackin and James Mackin; grandchildren David Brest, Brenda Brest and Cristinia King; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Stella Toderich. A memorial mass will be at 11:00 am, May 13, 2006 St. Peters Catholic Church in Lorain.
