Randle Thomas Gilpin, Iii

Randle Thomas “Tom” Gilpin III, 68, of Punta Gorda passed away at his residence March 11, 2007. He was born March 22, 1938 in Mobile, AL, the son of Randle T. Gilpin II and Lillian Benet Gilpin. Tom worked in finance and insurance with several auto dealerships in the Orlando area before coming to Punta Gorda. He managed South Florida Vascular Clinic for 12 years. Tom was a member of the Elks #2606, Moose Lodge #2121, and the Harbor Breeze Baptist Church. Tom will be greatly missed by his wife, Nancy; daughters, Debbie Gross of Bay Minette, AL, Cathy Fail of Mobile, AL, and Julie Carlisle of Mobile, AL; Nancy’s sons, Patrick McClane of Richmond, VA and Michael McClane of Ocala, FL; sister, Patricia Payne of Mobile, AL; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, March 15, 2007 at the Punta Gorda Chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
