Ralph Wayne Conley

February 12, 1929 — June 22, 2015

Ralph "Wayne" Conley, 86 of Parkhill, Punta Gorda, FL passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at his home after a long illness. He was the son of Ralph and Thelma Conley, born February 12, 1929 in Moro, ME. Wayne served in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed many sports and for a number of years was an avid bowler. He enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, Bingo, Poker and many other card games with friends. Wayne was a frequent visitor at casinos, where he could play games of chance and he and his wife Josie often treated their friends to a day-trip on the Big "M" Casino boat. Wayne will be greatly missed by his sons, Ronald (Nancy) of Texas and Donald of Mississippi; daughter, Thelma Jean "Tammy" (Charles) Long of Kentucky; and his companion and long time family friend over 73 years, Kay Alberto of Punta Gorda, formerly of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Josephine; son, Kevin, sister, Althea Meyers. Wayne will be missed by all his friends. A private service will be held. Inurnment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery.
