Phyllis S. Sturdevant

Phyllis S. Sturdevant, 84, of Port Charlotte passed away August 12, 2008. She was born July 5, 1924 in Tiffin, Ohio to Edmund M. and Mary A. (Blaes) Szablewski. Phyllis was a graduate of Calvert High School and was a member of Tiffin Lady Lions Club. In 1989 Mr. & Mrs. Sturdevant were featured in an article of Town and Country Magazine and Domestications Mail Order Catalog in their portrayal of Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Kathleen (David) Follansbee of S. Windsor, CT and Amy Jo (Charles) Roberson of Scotch Plains, NJ; son, William (Wendy) Sturdevant of Port Charlotte; grandchildren, Christopher and Carrie Rose; brother Ralph Szablewski; sisters, Charlotte Schumm and Barbara Fair. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert, 4 brothers and a sister. She will be remembered in a mass on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 7:00 pm at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
