Pearl R. Morrell

Pearl "Bobbie" Morrell, 79, of Port Charlotte formerly of Groveland, MA passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Consulate Health. She was born January 10, 1932 in Saugus, MA to Harold and Myra (Titus) Mowry. Pearl graduated from Malden High School in 1949 and received her RN from Deacons School of Nursing in 1953. She married Malcolm Morrell in 1953 and worked at Royal Canadian Air Force Base, where he was stationed. Pearl taught piano, signed for the deaf and spoke and studied French and Russian. She loved boating and doing crochet work. Pearl enjoyed writing, which she publishing a novel and book of poetry. Her favorite poem was by Robert Frost called "Stopped by the Woods on a Snowing Night." Pearl will be greatly missed by her husband of 58 years, Malcolm; son, Michael (Leslie) Las Cruces, NM and Andrew (Grace) Greenville, NH; 5 grandchildren;1 great grandchild and 1 niece. She was preceded in death by her son, Peter and brother, Harold and sister, Alice. No service is planned at this time. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Charlotte Harbor.
