Paul McLean, 71, of Punta Gorda passed away October 21, 2007. He was born October 9, 1936 in Milton, Florida to Sam and Dewey (Taylor) McLean. Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was instrumental in the pilot program in printing the first USA Today with the Fort Myers News Press and worked over 30 years as a Systems Manager until he retired. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Paul will be greatly missed by his wife of 52 years, Cherry; daughter Deborah (Robert) Brandal of Punta Gorda; sons Larry (Barbara) McLean and Rodney (Ruby) McLean both of Port Charlotte; brother Billy McLean of TX; sisters Coots Houser of Pensacola, FL, Imogene (Clefe) Sonnier of Milton, FL and twin sister Pauline Crisco of Milton, FL; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 11:00 - 12:00 pm, Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with a celebration of Paul’s life to follow at Noon with Rev.
