Paul H. Kroeger, Sr.

Paul H. Kroeger, Sr. 76, of Punta Gorda passed away August 25, 2016. He was the "elder" of twin boys born to Herbert and Margaret Kroeger on January 18, 1940 in Chicago, IL. He moved to Punta Gorda in 2005 from Jolliet, IL, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was proud to have been a 37 year Friend of Bill W. An avid runner and cyclist, he also enjoyed camping, swimming, and being in the sunshine. Paul will be remembered for his easy-going spirit and great sense of humor. He was very dedicated to his family and friends. Paul will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jean; daughter, Mary M. (Kevin) Sepulveda; sons, Paul H. (Carol) Kroeger, Jr. and Edward W. (Mary Jo) Kroeger; twin brother, Ralph D. Kroeger; grandchildren, Timm, Bobby, Joseph, Daniel, Jessica, Heather, Lauren, and Landon; sisters-in-law, Nancy Corless, Karen (Vince) Solano, Janet Murray, and Joanell (Fran) Zawaski; brother-in-law, James J. (Linda) O'Reilly; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Corless and Robert Murray. A memorial service in celebration of Paul's life will be Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A northern service will be held at 10am, September 17, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 600 Brook Forest Avenue, Shorewood, IL 60404.
