Paul David Fuerst, 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born on June 9, 1959, in Philadelphia to Robert and Therese (Ifkovitz) Fuerst. Paul graduated from Archbishop Wood H.S. in 1977 and married his best friend and the love of his life, Linda (Montgomery) on March 24, 1986.
Paul spent 35 years as a sheet metal worker for Local 19 in Philadelphia before retiring to Punta Gorda, FL.
In addition to his love of boating, fishing, and riding his treasured Harley, Paul dedicated his service to the American Legion, first as a Sons of AMVETS member and a charter member of the AMVETS Riders for Post 101 in Delair, NJ. Upon his move to Punta Gorda, he continued his membership as both a Son of AMVETS and AMVETS rider for Post 103. Paul was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Port Charlotte.
Paul will be deeply missed by his brothers Bob (Pat), Rick. Jack (Diane), Steve (Karen), and his sister Therese, as well as 15 nieces and nephews and 13 grand-nieces and nephews, including the newest addition to the family his namesake Paula Rose. Most importantly, he’ll be missed most by his loving wife, Linda, and beloved dog, Yogi. Paul was a special man, who has left a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, which can never be filled.
