Patricia Carlin O'Keefe

Patricia Mary Carlin O’Keefe, 86 of Port Charlotte, FL passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010. She was the daughter of Bernadine and Edward Carlin, born March 25, 1924 in New Orleans, LA. Patricia traveled the United States and the world as the wife of Captain Patrick G. O’Keefe, USN. She was a faithful member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte, FL, the US Naval Society of Ship Sponsors and served as a Director of the Brunswick, Maine Chapter of the Navy league. Patricia will be most remembered as a woman ahead of her time and as an angel here on earth. She will be greatly missed by her husband of almost 61 years and best friend of many years longer, Patrick; children, Patrick, a maritime lawyer in New Orleans and his wife Mirna, Timothy, an ichthyologist around the world and his wife, Marcia, Sean, CEO of EADS-North America of Washington DC and his wife Laura and parents of three, Kathleen a wonderful mother of two in New Orleans and her husband Joseph Tynan and Shannon, Vice President of McBee Strategic Consulting in Washington DC; amazing grandchildren, Matthew, Meaghan, Leslie, Sean, Lindsey, Jonathan, Kevin, Ross, Lucas and Aisling; wonderful great grandchildren, Ashley, Treb and Patricia Jean and missed by her longtime friends in Maine, California, Virginia and Florida.
