Patricia Ann Freund

Patricia Ann Freund, 76, of Punta Gorda passed away on June 2, 2006. Born on July 4, 1929 in Asbury Park, New Jersey to Roger and Madeline (McCallion) Scarborough. In earlier years she pursued a modeling career and was one of the original Conover Girls. Her beauty, smile and beliefs illuminated her volunteer work and her activism over the course of her life. As a wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she graced us all with the legacy that love is all that is necessary in life. Patricia will be greatly missed by her husband Charles. In their 55 years together they nurtured five children and nine grandchildren: Thomas Freund of E. Northport; Kathy Fredrickson of Hansville, Washington; Karen Gregorius of E. Northport; Elizabeth Zmirak of E. Northport and Timmy Freund of E. Islip. A mass and celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at Sacred Heart Church, North Merrick, Long Island, NY. The family requests memorial donations to be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, 1144 Veronica Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
