Pasquale “Pat” E. Romano, 79, of North Port passed away March 21, 2006. He was born October 30, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN and came to North Port 20 years ago. Pat retired from the City of Minneapolis as the Supervisor of Equipment Operations. He was a master judge for the Antique Automobile Club of America, Past Commander of an American Legion Post in Minneapolis, a member of Minnehaha Lodge #165 F.& A.M. in Minneapolis, and Valley of Ft. Myers Scottish Rite, Sahib Shrine in Sarasota. Pat was the Shrine Hospital Chairman of North Port for many years, and was Past President of the North Port Shrine Club. He was also a member of Living Waters Lutheran Church. Pat will be greatly missed by his wife, Letha; son, Tony Romano of Minneapolis, MN; daughters, Diane Shay of Bellevue, ID and Ann Stewart of Anoka, MN; step-daughter, Michelle Haugh of Bloomington, MN; 5 granddaughters and 3 grandsons. A Masonic service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 27 at the Masonic Lodge in Venice with refreshments following. A memorial service in celebration of Pat's life will be held at Living Waters Lutheran Church in North Port at 11:00 a.m. March 28.
